Sylar was somewhat reluctant to believe that the girl had not known something was going on, but then, nothing really read as a lie. He watched her for a moment as she asked how he had gotten there, and then he glanced away, brows lowering and mouth pulling down into a frown. "I don't remember. It may have been tranquilizers. probably enough to drop a few elephants. I woke up on the edge of the beach with a tube up my nose and feeling like I'd been hit by a truck."

"Wow," was all Elle could really manage to say. Was he just... reasonable? Scary. Now she wasn't really sure she knew Sylar at all. "I was kept conscious and doused in water. I was drugged, but not enough to knock me out so Daddy could talk to me..." she stopped and looked away. Why did she keep calling him Daddy? She was twenty four, and the SOB had thrown her on this island like she was some kind of animal. The girl turned her head back to Sylar and smiled, cocking her head.

Luke looked between them and shrugged. He might as well give up his pathetic kidnap story, then. "My Mom put me in a taxi to go to juvi for beating on some guy. The next thing I know, some dude's telling me I'm being banished to some island for other people like me. Reckon Mom was only too happy to sell me out to 'em."

"Your mother sounds like a lovely woman." Sylar muttered, then glanced back to Elle. "Your dad, too. We all seem to have such wonderful parents."
Dropping his head back onto the boy, Sylar let out a breath, contemplating his less than to be desired childhood. Maybe that was why he'd turned out the way he had.

Elle raised her eyebrow. "My daddy sounds like a lovely woman?" she asked, knowing she was nitpicking. She snickered at her "joke". Leaning back on the couch, she sprawled her legs back out to get rid of the tingle, placing her feet back on Sylar's thigh. "You're really tall," she commented randomly. She tilted her head to prop up against the couch and crossed her arms over her stomach, taking the same position she had been in earlier.

Luke shook his head at her. "It's just you that's short." Although he did feel small next to Sylar. "Parents are crap, period. Hey, this was probably the nicest thing my Mom ever did for me. I don't have to eat her shitty cooking now." His light tone belied his bitterness, and he played with Sylar's hair for something to fidget with more than anything.

"Ha." Sylar replied, wrinkling his nose at her joke. His hand shot up again cautiously as she stretched her legs out and put her feet on his thigh. It was a natural reaction, and he made a small sound of annoyance as he dropped his hand again to her feet, shifting them just a little.
"Yeah. Now you have to try to survive on your own." Sylar taunted. But he didn't stop the fingers in his hair.

Elle rolled her eyes when her feet were moved. "You're such a baby," she started, rocking her feet side to side dangerously. "If I wanted to kick you, I would'a done it already. Besides, if you really pissed me off and held my feet, I'd just shock you instead." She laughed. Never had she shocked anyone in the crotch, but just imagining the reaction made her want to try. Bad. Her fingers twitched, and she bit her lip to keep from laughing again.
Elle smiled at his response to Luke. Surviving on her own should be easy... Right? Not everyone had the power of electricity. With enough work, she could learn to hunt with it... Or something. She mentally shrugged the thought off. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it.

Luke frowned, considering. "I'm doing okay on my own." Even if Sylar hadn't come along, he'd be doing all right. Right? That was what he was telling himself. Well, he was a human microwave. He wasn't going to find it hard to get food. Besides, he did have Sylar. Sylar would keep him safe. "Don't need her."

"Good luck ever getting a date with that attitude." Sylar said to Elle, wary of her feet as she shifted them. To prevent an accident he brought his hands up, gently laying them over her feet to stop the rocking.
"Luke, within what? Days? You managed to allow yourself to be lured into the home of a murderer. Didn't your mother ever teach you about strangers? And believe me, killing was one of the least horrible things I could have done to you." he murmured, but then remembered that Luke had actually wanted what had happened, and felt a warm flush move through him. "Don't you dare do anything that stupid again, do you hear me?" he ordered, despite the hypocrisy.

Luke looked at him in disbelief. "You were the one that lured me. Anyway, you didn't kill me. I could have fought back if I'd needed to." Despite his indignation, he realised that Sylar was being protective of him and smiled almost unnoticeably.

"Oooh, two hands. Now I'm scaaared," she mocked quietly. Her own hand lifted and let out a small current low on his other thigh, proving her earlier point.
Elle stayed quiet mostly through their little spiff. She glanced up quickly when he said something about being a murderer and frowned. So he had killed before? Sure, he'd let out hints every now and then, but he was admitting it now. Out loud. It freaked her out a little bit.
"So you've killed people, huh?" she blurted out unintentionally. She winced at her own stupidity. "You never, like... Outright told me," she finished, resting her eyes on his hands at her feet.

Sylar ignored the low jolt of electricity. It was like a muscle tic now, not painful but mildly irritating.
He was more focused on Luke, and chastising him for the idiotic thing he had done. For some reason he didn't think about the fact that he was actually warning the boy against himself.
Glancing at Elle sideways when she blurted, the older one pressed his lips together. Apparently it wasn't going to be a huge problem, though, because she wasn't trying to get away. "Only kill them when they have something I want." he murmured, tapping his fingers against her feet.

Luke smirked. "Does that freak you out?" he asked Elle casually, cocking his head to the side to look at her. He wasn't worried about it anymore, he honestly wasn't. His priorities had changed, and now he was more worried about losing Sylar.

"No," she scoffed to Luke, lying. "I-I'm completely useless. No awesome stuff here!" she stuttered lightly, forcing herself to relax against the back of the couch as though she wasn't worried. Elle refrained the urge to laugh at Sylar's fingers. She was heavily ticklish. Inappropriate timing, much? "Stop that," she muttered, giggling awkwardly.
