"Not really, you don't." Sylar said, allowing Luke to kiss him but then pulling back a bit. The sun had shifted in the sky and was now beating down on them, and it was uncomfortably warm on his pale skin.
"Come on, out of the sun before you burn." he said, not realizing how much he sounded like his mother. "Let's make a fire and try to cool these things." he gestured to the fish, hoping Luke would have a better idea of how to do it than he did. He was from the city, he had never cooked fresh fish in his life.

He almost pouted before remembering that he was trying to act mature. He straightened his face from the scowl still threatening to form. "I can deal with it, you know. I'm not a little kid, I'm not going to freak." Still, he obeyed Sylar, moving towards the shaded bank. He didn't have much of a clue about the best way to prepare the fish aside from microwaving them with his power, but he imagined he had a better idea than the other man did.

"But you are a kid." Sylar taunted. He grinned a little to himself when Luke trudged out of the sun towards the shore, though. Brushing off water from his chest, the older one climbed easily up onto the stone where he had tossed the fish, sitting beside them on the smooth surface.
They were sort of slimy, and he wrinkled his nose as he picked one up, inspecting it. "We have to gut them, right?" he asked, knitting his brows as he lifted his other hand and pointed his index finger at the belly, making an incision as if it were someones forehead.

He huffed a little under his breath, pulling himself out of the water and sitting beside Sylar. He tutted at what the other man was doing, taking his hand and directing it in the motion of a fillet knife. "Like that, see."

Sylar looked at the motion, then back at the fish, frowning. Once the incision was complete he made a disgusted noise and slid his finger into it, hooking it and scooping downward. The pile of guts that came out made him cringe a little. Brains were one thing...fish innards were something totally different. Tossing the disemboweled fish onto the rock again, he leaned down to rinse his hand in the water. "Disgusting."

Luke let out a short, incredulous laugh. "That really grosses you out, huh?" He wasn't that happy with it himself, but this man should be used to guts and stuff.

Cocking one thick brow, Sylar looked at Luke. Calmly, he leaned back up, reaching out and taking up something that had come out of the fishes belly. It was gelatinous and sort of yellowish, and he almost gagged as his fingers closed on it. But it was worth it when he tossed it in the direction of the boys head.

Luke yelped, rolling back and covering his face with his hands. He peered through his fingers, cheeks burning crimson with humiliation as he furiously wiped down any of his body that might have caught some of the vile gloop. He cast Sylar a disgruntled, embarrassed look.

Luke's reaction to the guts flying at him caused Sylar to laugh, and he leaned back, tilting his head up as he gave a heartfelt guffaw. "Not quite the same as brains, Luke, I promise." he said after the laughter died away. Patting the rock beside him, the older one picked up the other fish, more quickly gutting it now that he had the hang of it.

There is nothing more exciting than watching blue sparks leap from your palms into the air surrounding. At least, that's how Elle Bishop feels. The adrenaline high makes her hand explode with electricity - her eyes go wide and a laugh rip from her throat. The thrill of the kill was something she wouldn't give up the world for. It almost made her wish someone would refuse her information - just so she could watch her ability burn and rip at their flesh until they were a pile of burned skin and bones at her feet.
Elle has had her powers since she was very small. Once she was a normal girl, unicorns and rainbows, but because of the limits she was pushed to by her father... well, Elle had become a little too dependent on her ability. She turned homicidal and sadistic. All she wanted to do was cause pain and get revenge.
And now her beloved dad sent her here. Saying something along the lines of her being "too dangerous" for the Company. Pssh. No more dangerous than anyone with a tazer... Well, maybe a little more dangerous... Okay, a lot more dangerous, but did that really give Bob the right to abandon his own daughter on an island filled with killers? For all Elle knew, someone could be planning to rise up, kill everyone, become a leader and create some kind of massive, devil-worshiping cult or something.
Elle sighed angrily and electrocuted an overgrown weed from her tracks. She used a bit more power than she really needed, but it felt awesome. That feeling made her body jolt with excitement and the woman couldn't help but let out a glorified squeal. The plant lit on fire. And then the fire started to spread... Whoops.
"Oh, shi-" she stopped and put a hand over her mouth. Daddy didn't like it when she cursed. Though, wasn't Daddy the one who dropped her on an island with almost no warning? Surrounded by random cult-people? Elle shook her head and pushed the thoughts out of her mind. Bigger problems to deal with than her Daddy issues right now.
The fire was small enough that it wasn't an immediate threat. She glanced up and saw a river through the thinning trees. Perfect. She stripped her over-shirt (leaving her in a thin white tank and dark jeans) and jogged to the edge. She dunked the top. That's when she noticed two people not twenty feet away. Two shirtless guys, by the looks of it. Oooo. She flicked a smile up at them.
"Hi," she spoke. Her eyelashes batted against her cheeks rapidly. "I'm Elle... I, uhm, started a fire," she said between coy giggles. She pointed over at the slowly-growing flickers of red and orange buried by the forest.
"Help?" she said chuckling again and shrugging her light shoulders, painted lips forming a questioning grin.

Luke was about to retort that it was her problem and that she should go and deal with it instead of bothering them, but he remembered he was trying to fit in, and Sylar had directly told him to act nice around people. He guessed that included ditzy looking blondes too. "If it's a little fire, we could cook on it." He glanced around her at the flickering flames. Maybe it wasn't such a little fire. For a moment he was torn between annoyance and his destructive instincts to just watch it burn.

The sudden appearance of the blond completely threw Sylar, and he set the fish down as he stared at her. He was a little less...intimidating than he usually looked, and it felt like being caught doing something silly. The mention of a fire made him glance behind her, and in the dimness of the shaded woods he could see the growing flicker.
"What are you trying to do, make this place even more miserable?" he asked, unable to stop the frown that creased his face. Standing up, he peered more closely at the girl, then behind her at the fire. With a put upon sigh, he gave Luke a glance and then slide down into the water to move closer to where she had come out of the woods. With a wave of his hand, he gestured to the water and then pointed to the trees, causing a snake like stream of water to rise and head toward the growing flames.

Luke couldn't help himself from grinning slightly, as though he'd been let in on a joke. Although this was probably similar to how Sylar had treated him in he beginning, he was sure that Sylar's first impression of him had been wrong. He felt favoured and important, like part of a team. He didn't see how his first impression of this girl could be anything but spot-on; she was annoying. He hated girls like this, they always laughed at him in school. Nobody was ever going to laugh at him again, not now that he was with Sylar.

Elle frowned dramatically. "Oh, please, like I could," she mumbled. She dropped the now soaked shirt and shook her hands dry when the man stood up. He looked like he knew what he was doing, and the water was scaring her. If she were to raise just a jolt of electricity with wet hands... She shivered at the thought.
She practically squealed with delight when the water twisted into the air. She clapped once and watched the fire die. "So, like, you control water?" she blurted. Her smile fell. He could soak her if he wanted to. The thought made her visibly shiver and power threaten to fry someone underneath her skin.
Her head cocked as she glanced at the kid. He couldn't be past 18 - if even that. Brothers? Elle smirked and giggled again. He looked annoyed at her.

"Not yet." Sylar replied to her. It caused a small smirk to flash across his face, thinking that it would be amusing to find someone with a power like that. He wasn't sure what he'd do with it, but it would be fun to have. When the fire was put out to his liking he dropped his hand, in the process letting the water fall onto the ground beside the girl.
"Were you watching us?" he asked, always mildly paranoid. He had been sure that they had been alone. Turning a little, he gestured for Luke to put his shirt back on. He didn't see the superior looking expression on the boys face. For the moment his focus was on the girl.
