'Kay, that's it. This kid was getting on her nerves. Elle leaned forward, placing a hand on Luke's shoulder. Her eyes formed a glare - completely sobered up - her mouth in a straight line. "The last time I tried to heat up a rock, I was six, camping with my grandma in her backyard," her tone was low and flat. "Not only did I almost kill her, I also burnt down her house and scorched the neighbor's prized dog." Her fingers itched to shock the kid. Just a little shock.. burn his skin, cause a blister...
Releasing his shoulder, her hand raised to her face in a small fist. The knuckles cracked as it jerked unsteadily. Electricity threatened to jolt out beneath her skin. She lowered her gaze to the rocks. Her hand landed at her side. A smile placed itself on her lips again. She batted her eyelashes and looked back at the Luke. "So I don't exactly go around heating rocks anymore."

"Weird." he said flippantly, raising both eyebrows "Maybe you should learn better self control." He lifted both clenched fists to level with his hips, opening them slightly and glancing down to see the familiar red glow gathering there. He felt a jolt of power at the knowledge that he control that force, that if he wanted to, he could hurt her. He could melt her hair, or her skin even, maybe microwave her from the inside like he had done before with that cat... He shifted slightly guiltily at the memory. He hadn't meant to kill it.
Anyway, that didn't matter now. He could control what he did now.

The situation was quickly escalating, and Sylar frowned, looking between the two. "Kids. " He warned, looking from one to the other as they both held their hands in what seemed preparation for attacking. "If you're going to fight, fight. Don't just stand there and threaten each other."
He turned away then, as if he didn't care one way or the other. Hooking his fingers into the slit necks of the two fish, he picked them up and took off back towards where he had taken his shoes off. "You coming?" He called back.

Luke glanced between Elle and Sylar, torn between wanting to stand his ground and follow the man. Eventually Sylar won and Luke dropped his fists, the red glow fading from where it had building in his palms. He shot a last look at Elle before turning and trudging after Sylar. "I'm not a kid." he added softly. It wasn't as bad that Sylar called him that as an endearment, but he didn't like being made to feel young in front of the older girl.

Elle let out a snicker. "I haven't been called a 'kid' in ten years," she said. The last person who called her that had been a therapist, whom she had abruptly shocked and threatened. That was a long time ago.
She stared at Gabriel. "Coming where? Next to your shoes?" she asked. Her eyebrows knitted together and head cocked. Elle didn't move from her spot, instead she crossed her arms defiantly. Traveling farther into the woods with a rebellious teen and a strong-looking man who could heal almost instantly did not seem like a good idea.

Sylar paused to slip his feet into the heavy boots, turning his head to give the girl a withering look. He made no remark on how both of them had, indeed, been acting like kids. Instead he waited for Luke to join him and threw his arm around the shorter ones shoulders.
"Back to my place. We're having fish." he lifted a brow and held up the fish with the hand not dangling over Luke's shoulder. Sylar preferred to not be stumbled upon by anyone else that happened to be out wandering the woods, just in case he decided to carve her pretty blond head open. Tugging Luke along, he offered him a smirk before he began walking again, not waiting to see if she followed.

Luke returned the smirk, sliding his arm loosely around Sylar's waist to rest on his hips so they were walking together instead of him being dragged along. He wondered if Sylar planned on killing her as he said he was going to do as he invited Luke home. His smirk widened, feeling his stomach flip slightly but whether from fear or excitement, he wasn't sure.

"Ohhhhh, no." Elle burst out laughing. She jogged up slightly behind Gabriel. A few steps later, she lifted her hand in the air. "I may be blond, but I assure you I am not that stupid," she said lowly, leaning forward to whisper. Boldly, she slapped her lifted hand towards Gabriel's shoulder, hard. She let out enough voltage from her hand to burn and shock, but not to kill.
She pulled back and let a large blue orb wriggle and jump in her palm. A loud giggle rippled from her throat. The power felt so good to release on a human - she hadn't done it in so long.

It was comfortable to walk with Luke like that, and Sylar actually smirked to himself as the hand rested on his hip.
Suddenly the smirk was wiped away, though, as the girl came up behind him, slapping his shoulder with what felt like an intense bolt of lightning. Involuntarily he gasped out in pain and shock, lurching forward and letting go of the boy.
Smelling his own singed flesh through the smoking shirt, Sylar glared at the girl. A moment later his flesh was already healing, but he was still turning to reach for her. It only took a moment to see the orb of electricity, and he sneered, forming a similar one in his clawed fist. Anger caused it to arc up his arm, and he stepped toward her, face a mask of twisted, murderous intent.

"I knew it!" she squealed as the flesh healed. She closed her fist and the electricity died. Elle giggled, bounced, and clapped lightly where she was standing, her blond hair getting in her face - like a six year old who gets a shiny new Barbie. Her eyes lit up when she saw the lightning come from Gabriel's hand.
"What is - how did you - did you get that from me?!" The words were jumbled and frantic through a large smile on her face. She outstretched her arm and spread her fingers wide. Blue sparks leaped from them and dissipated into nothingness. She closed her hand into a fist and opened it again. Her smile faltered lightly when she finally looked back up at Gabriel's face. His expression was angry and scared her a little, but the interest and knowledge from working at the Company for sixteen years was too much to handle.
Elle smiled wide and stared at the man. Her light blue eyes glimmered with laughter and questions. She dropped her arm, snickering lightly. "Don't tell me you weren't planning on killing me - or raping me or whatever you creepo's do - when I got back to your house. So cliché. It's like the first thing you learn about in a self-defense class."

Luke stared at Elle, bemused. Clearly this girl was insane. But Sylar already had that power... He frowned, giving the man a 'can we kill her anyway' look.

It all happened very quickly. He was ready to fry her alive, but she was laughing, and that threw him a little. The pain was already gone, so that anger fizzled out as quickly as it had appeared. And then she was copying his power! Sylar blinked, staring at her hand as she held it up. What were the chances of running into someone who had the same power as someone he had already killed?
Sylar scoffed at her words, closing his own fist so that the bluish light faded. His face smoothed to a cautious, curious expression. He waved Luke back, frowning at him just a little. There was no point in killing her if he already had the power. "Trust me, we weren't going to rape you." he muttered, though he didn't deny that he had planned on possibly killing her.
The situation was awkward, and he looked her up and down, for the first time wondering just what sort of messed up person would intentionally shock someone as badly as she had shocked him. Besides himself, anyway, and maybe Luke. "Did you want to come over and eat, or stand here and play a little longer?" he asked, reaching up and tugging the shirt to look at the mark his burning flesh had left.

Luke reached up to lightly touch the healed flesh, eyes wide and curious. He ran the tip of his finger around the melted fibres surrounding the singed burn hole in Sylar's shirt. He smiled slightly. Wow. Only the damage to the shirt showed that he'd been burned at all.

Elle pouted when the blue glow faded from around his hand. The shocks were still scratching under her skin, begging for release. She sighed and shook her hand. Maybe she could shock some metal or something on the way back - get it all out of her system on a lightning rod.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Suuure you weren't." She stuck her tongue out like a bratty two year old and smiled widely. Even she knew she was immature. When you're isolated from the world at eight years old, you don't exactly develop the best social skills on your own. Elle smirked and pulled her tongue back in her mouth.
Her brows furrowed lightly. Elle didn't like the be looked at like some piece of meat for inspection. A small frown creased the blonde's lips. When he spoke again, it took all her will-power to not burst out laughing. "So quick to get me back to your place, huh?" she chuckled. "What, you inviting me back for the night?" Her eyelashes batted against her cheek as she winked. A small, mischievous grin placed itself at her lips.

"Unless you know of a nice cafe." Sylar muttered, allowing Luke to touch at his skin and inspect the hole in his shirt. "You don't want to, then suit yourself. I'm hungry, and we're leaving." he shrugged, finally pulling Luke's hand away from his shoulder and gesturing him to walk on ahead.
He was willing to keep Luke around, but he didn't think that this girl would be very pleasant company. Besides, he only had one bed, and Luke had already claimed the other side of that.
Moving after the younger one, Sylar caught up to him and fell into stride, intentionally not looking back at her.
